While POE 2 didn’t introduce the new classes that you might have expected with 0.3.0 update, existing classes still offer the opportunity to create powerful builds thanks to their unique skills and the numerous new items.
Furthermore, due to the unique nature of POE series, no skill is actually unique to a particular class, although each class should have several skill gems that are best suited for it.
So, if you have a pre-built build, you can experiment with which classes or Ascendancy classes are best suited to utilize it, thereby fully leveraging the strengths of that class and the build itself.
With this in mind, in light of the new The Third Edict, POECURRENCY.com is here to introduce Hollow Palm Unarmed build and how Ascendancy classes that are suitable for it should utilize it.
What Is Hollow Palm Unarmed Build?
To understand this build, you first need to understand what Hollow Palm is. This is essentially a Technique Keystone, converting your two-handed slots into unarmed attacks, dealing fixed physical damage based on your dexterity and attack speed.
Note that this keystone only works when you are unarmed-hence the “unarmed” element of this build. However, you can still buy POE 2 currency to get and equip more items that increase the build’s damage and attack speed.
Uniquely, this build allows you to attack enemies with your staff while your hands are free, dealing physical damage, and you can combine this with effects like bleed damage.
Equipping this build with Armor increases your attack speed by 1% for every 25 dodge points you gain, and your chance to poison enemies by 0.1% for every 10 Energy Shot points you gain. Therefore, consuming POE 2 Divine Orbs to re-roll armor modifiers is crucial for this build.
For this reason, we recommend stacking this build with an exorbitant amount of Dodge and Energy Shield to improve both stability and damage output. When choosing the right Ascendancy class, it’s important to ensure that its skill tree works well with Hollow Palm.
Also, if you’re lacking a solid understanding of most Ascendancy classes you haven’t yet experienced, or if you’re looking to stock up on POE2 currency for sale, visiting POECURRENCY.com.com is a great option! It provides access to all POE 2 services you could need, possibly.
Amazon
The first Ascendancy class we recommend is Amazon, belonging to the new Huntress class added in patch 0.2.0. Its strengths lie in its ability to deal damage to both single and group targets simultaneously, allowing for quick clearing, and its high base critical chance.
Furthermore, if you want to utilize Hollow Palm Unarmed as an Amazon, unlocking Stalking Panther passive node is essential. This doubles the dodge value of your equipped helmet, gloves, and boots, while halving the dodge value of your body armor.
This allows you to spread your evasion defense across smaller pieces of gear, rather than relying solely on body armor, thus enhancing your mobility with powerful unique items.
The tricky part is that Amazon has been nerfed in Patch 0.3.0, specifically the critical strike bonus being reduced from 25% to 15%, which significantly reduces the effectiveness of the build.
While you can try to improve this with other skills or passive nodes, unless you’re truly into playing Amazon, there are many better Ascendancy options for Hollow Palm Unarmed build.

Acolyte Of Chayula
This Ascendancy class is a Monk class, boasting high Chaos resistance and damage. Although it lost its life-steal ability after the game update, you can compensate by stacking the volatility monster mod.
This mechanic causes the relevant enemies to leave behind explosive spheres upon death, which explode after a few seconds. For 10 seconds after the explosion, each wave you trigger grants 1% Chaos damage. Therefore, to deal more damage, you must stack waves.
Note that the volatility itself has a time delay and deals 100% physical damage upon detonation. However, Acolyte of Chayula’s passive skill protects you from this damage.
Invoker
Also, a Monk Ascendancy class, Invoker offers more consistent performance when utilizing a Hollow Palm Unarmed build thanks to its multiple bonus sources.
For example, Lead me through Grace skill grants you 1 Spirit point for every 8 Energy Shield or 20 Evasion Rating you have equipped with body armor. Sunder my Enemies allows your critical hits to ignore the elemental resistances of non-negative enemies.
Building on this, you can further enhance your build’s meta skills with The Soul Springs Eternal, which grants 35% additional energy, and Meditate, which continuously recharges your ability shield for even greater survivability.
If you’re unsure which Ascendancy class is best for utilizing Hollow Palm Unarmed, Invoker is the safest bet, and it allows you to easily switch between builds.
Deadeye
Deadeye is an Ascendancy class for Rangers, boasting high attack accuracy and speed. Not only does it deal significant single-target damage, it also has good AoE abilities.
For this reason, we recommend stacking Tailwind buff as much as possible with Gathering Winds ability during combat to increase movement speed, skill speed, and evasion rating.
With the changes in patch 0.3.0, skill Eagle Eyes no longer removes range-based accuracy penalties, but instead grants 20 stacks of critical vulnerability to enemies when you consume their mark. More importantly, unlocking this ability is easy.
In short, each of these Ascendancy classes has its strengths and can be combined with Hollow Palm Unarmed build in different ways. You can choose one based on your needs and comfort level.
That’s all for this update! We hope this helps you experience Patch 0.3.0 and Rise of the Abyssal League within it!
